The
Engineering Workshops
You may well spend some of your time within the Engineering Workshops, either the
Mechanical workshops, Avionics workshops, Electrical
Workshops or the Electronics Facilities. This country needs all calibers
of Engineers
from the highly qualified with PhD’s to the basic manual skilled work force. The
Engineering workshops are a traditional style of workshops specifically to teach
these manual skills. These workshops house a number of lathes, Mills, Grinders as
well as benches for developing hand skills. The
electrical teaches the basics behind the Electrical PEO and NVQ’s and addresses
topics from component recognition, Schematic and circuit diagrams to soldering and
bench testing projects using a variety of test equipment. The Electronics workshops
deal with the more complex topics within a typical work-based environment.
